Job Purpose

  • To provide subject matter expertise for the Company’s applications and asset management systems.
  • To maintain and support solutions across the Company’s core applications and integrated technology.
  • Analysis and enhancement of quality technical solutions aligned with business strategies to meet the needs of the business, complying with architectural standards, working closely with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Undertake frequent support visits to the Company's international establishments and work with local team members to document business needs and requirements.
  • Ensure that technical requirements are feasible in relation to system capabilities.
  • Provide technical product knowledge for asset management applications.
  • Work remotely to support the users at the Company's international establishments. 
  • Acquire, read, and digest contract documentation sections which are relevant to the operation of business systems.
  • Develop workbooks that satisfy contractual requirements and in cooperation with operational teams.
  • Carry out product configuration activities and documentation.
  • Maintain change control records within the Company's standards and processes.
  • Plan and undertake user training programs across the Company's international establishments.
  • Assist with the deployment of solutions and configurations.
  • Support staff during mobilisations and transition phase of a contract/project including all IT functions, and operational staff.
  • Creation, updating and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Carry out data analysis and data cleansing activities where appropriate.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of Business Systems best practices.
  • Ensure overall product quality of the Company’s international applications.
  • Ensure all Company processes are followed and adhered to.
  • Work on one or more projects of all sizes as a project team member .
  • The role holder will be expected to communicate with members of the business and supporting IT functions.
  • The role holder will be a direct report to the Head of Business Systems. 

Knowledge Skills & Experience

  • Configuration and implementation knowledge of ERP systems (preferably on IBM Maximo).
  • Sound functional knowledge of IBM Maximo.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of applications and architecture.
  • Experience in systems analysis and a solid understanding of the development process.
  • Broad range of skills/knowledge related to: software functionality, application server set up, database management, data analysis, report generation, operating system configuration, performance tuning, installation and migration.

  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organisational, writing and client facing communication skills.
  • Good team player, able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a timely manner to deliver against defined timescales.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of new applications and software tools.
